If you are not inclined to write about history, your assignment may just be studying and being bored! When doing research on the topic of western history, you will find that there are many essay topics available. This might make it seem that there are too many to choose from. Some history teachers seem to think that if they do not use the specific name of the battle or the different period of time, then their students will forget and just read the essay in its entirety. Of course, forgetting is much easier when you keep going back to the lesson plan, but I still recommend that you use the term to get your students interested in the essay topics that you have chosen.It is important to choose essay topics that relate to the subject matter. For example, if your goal is to talk about the change in the Irish landscape over time, then you will want to write an essay about the development of Dublin during the war. As you begin to put these ideas together, you will start to see how the idea of landscape changes relates to the subject of the essay. Of course, the main goal is to communicate information to your students about the change in the land.Although your editor may tell you to avoid overly long essays, you may find that you will have to write quite a bit of an essay on the same subject. As a good research assistant, I found that I could fit a lot of thoughts and details into the space allotted for one essay. In my opinion, short is better. You must keep the reader engaged while delivering the message you want to get across.If you would like to use military tactics in an essay topic, you need to pick a battle that is related to the western front in some way. You will also want to look at the game of chess as an example. Chess is based on tactics so the right game of chess has strategic and tactical elements.Since there are no restrictions on essay topics, choose one based on the subject you choose to write about. If you are not a history major, you should be able to use whatever you like. As long as it makes sense to write about the topic and will interest your s tudents, I think it will help you with your AP U.S. History class.
